OTION (Guillermo Armand Blinker) is a multifaceted artist fascinated with sound, dance, theatre, choreography, composing, songwriting and
performing. Exploring the spiritual traditions of his ancestral lineage, OTION developed a deep appreciation for the metaphysical aspects of his artistic practices. As an interdisciplinary artist, his mission is to create spaces where others can be moved by the power of sound and reconnect with themselves. 

The name OTION (ocean) is a reference to the most resonant physical element in the universe that connects us all.

From Amsterdam to New York, Vienna, Istanbul, Cape Town, Hong Kong and back. The strong OTION signature is making its way into world, one wave at a time. OTION's artistic journey began in Amsterdam in 2000 at Lucia Martha's Institute for Performing
Arts. After graduating from Codarts University with a bachelor in contemporary dance specialized in choreography (2010), he moved to New York with the Huygens Scholarship to expand his artistic versatility. His talent and skills led to him performing and choreographing for concerts, musicals, television shows and theatre productions. The introduction to the music and poetry scene in New York made a significant impact and kickstarted a writing and composition practice, that has birthed many poems, songs, soundscapes and scores. Soulful vocals harmonizing in polyphonic structures, poetic lyricism and ancestral inspiration, became the foundation on which many works are created.
